How long have you worked in your role, and what do you enjoy most?

By the time this is published an entire three weeks! The team are so friendly and welcoming, its like I’ve known everyone for years.

What other roles/careers have you previously had?

Most recently, I managed cemeteries for the Toowoomba Regional Council. Previous to that, I worked as a funeral director and embalmer at Burstow Funerals. Even before that, I was the corporate chef for a Queensland based hotel group. So a few different careers in my time, all I have enjoyed immensely, especially being a pastry chef working with chocolate all day!

What is your favourite quote?

I have a few of these I tend to live by;

“Listen more, speak less”

“Start at the level you want to finish at”

“What you walk past is what you accept”

What are three words that best describe you?

Determined, Humorous, Loyal

Tell us about yourself outside of work?

During the week, a bit of exercise morning and evening, the kids tend to occupy the outside of work hours. Weekends are spent with family and in the garden with the occasional drive around the countryside where some exploring is done. I enjoy cooking and this time of year is a production of Christmas puddings for the family and very lucky friends.

Christopher Stockley Quote "Don't be concerned with what other people think, and enjoy life it is precious"

What advice would you give your twelve year old self?

Don’t be concerned with what other people think, and enjoy life it is precious.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be and why?

Teleportation for sure. I love travel so getting there in an instant could only be better.

If you were an ice cream, what flavour would you be and why?

For sure, something obscure. I was a chef in a former life and created the ice cream flavour basil and black pepper for my restaurant menu. It was so different yet amazing to taste, and those brave enough to try it absolutely loved it.

What would your theme song be?

Definitely “Don’t stop me now” by Queen

Which famous people would you invite to a dinner party? They could be dead or alive.

Winston Churchill – he reminds me of my grandfather and the stories he could tell would keep me listening indefinitely.

Dwayne Johnson – because he is The Rock!

Betty White – she would keep everyone entertained and having lived such a long time there would be plenty to talk about.

Because of the beard, what would your bushranger name be?

Banksia Bill – The thing I disliked in my neighbourhood growing up + my grandfather’s nickname.
