How long have you worked in Sales?
I have been involved in various sales functions for over 30 years in a diverse range of industries.
How long have you worked in the death care sector?
I came into the death care sector as a “change of life/career” move, starting out as a grave digger, a role that I would never have envisaged doing, but I quickly came to understand the importance of the role the sector plays in the community.
Why did you join OpusXenta?
I saw the application of OpusXenta products first-hand as a cemetery user and jumped at the change to help continue the reach of the product in the sector. I was also excited about the range of innovation that acknowledges the sector’s past and helps to transition it into the future.
How do you achieve success in your role?
I am old-fashioned in that I truly believe in building relationships with my colleagues and my customers.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Tell us about your career path.
In a word, varied. From fruit picking, running a bottle shop and repossessing cars to working at Ford Credit World Headquarters, lunching in the canteen with Edsel Ford II, self-employment for 15 years and now in the death care sector.
I have been in management roles for more than 30 years and enjoy the day-to-day challenges of business.

I most love the challenges, the ability to make a difference and the opportunity that this role provides.
